ActiveX Controls - Definition
ActiveX Controls are used to link to dynamic content embedded within a web page, such as tables and buttons that react to mouse clicks. Although ActiveX controls add more life and flavor to web pages, malicious programmers can easily use them as vehicles for downloading Spyware. One should use a sturdy web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox and a firewall that screens your ActiveX Controls. You should download them with care by accepting ActiveX only from trusted and known web sites.
