Anonymous FTP - Definition
Anonymous File Transfer Protocol enables anyone to download files from a properly configured FTP Server. This allows users without accounts to enter the username anonymous along with their email address as a password to access files. Because anyone can access the files set up for anonymous FTP, Webmasters need to be very careful to use it only for files meant for public consumption.
