Binding - Definition
Binding refers to the process by which protocols are associated with one another and the network adapter to provide a complete set of protocols needed for handling data from the application layer to the physical layer. It is also the assigning of a value to an identifier. such as a parameter, an absolute address to a virtual or relative address, and a device identifier to a symbolic label address.
