BNC - Definition
BNC is an abbreviation for British National Connector. It is a cylindrical push-and-twist connector for connecting thin coaxial cable, such as 10Base2, thin wire Ethernet to network interface cards, transceivers and other network elements. BNC connectors exist in 50 and 75 ohm versions. BNC is also said to be short for Bayonet Neill-Concelman after the developers of the connector.
