Connector - Definition
A Connector is a piece of hardware used to join devices and cables. Connectors are usually male plugs with pins or female sockets or jacks designed to accept male connectors. They are used to form two or more connections, unlike Terminals, which form a single connection. The connection between equipment must be sufficiently tight to make a good connection to complete the circuit.
