Microprocessor - Definition
The Microprocessor is also referred to as the CPU (Central Processing Unit), but most commonly as the processor. The processor is the brain of the computer. It is the master regulator in the processing of the computer’s data. The quality (speed) of the processor determines how fast the system will run. The processor is usually the most expensive component in a computer, with price being determined primarily by speed and features. Two popular manufacturers are AMD and Intel.
