NetBEUI - Definition
NetBEUI is an abbreviation for NetBIOS Extended User Interface. It is a transport-layer protocol provided with Microsoft networking products. NetBEUI is capable of rapid data transfer but is limited to LANs because it is a nonroutable protocol (meaning it does not support routing, which relies on network addresses to move transmissions from one network to another).
