Plug-In - Definition
A Plug-In is a program that is not part of the original software. For example, Adobe Flash, Real Audio, and other companies have browser plug-ins to make web sites more interactive so that media content can be displayed in a browser, such as Mozilla Firefox. A Plug-In also refers to components added to an application, such as Adobe Photoshop, so that it can extend the program’s capabilities.
