Windows Vista™ not only allows us to add small programs, called gadgets, to the Windows Sidebar and Desktop, but we are also able to remove any gadget that is no longer wanted or needed. Follow the steps below to learn how to remove any unnecessary gadget from the Windows Sidebar.
To Remove A Gadget From The Windows Sidebar
- Right-click directly on the gadget you want to remove from the Windows Sidebar.
- Then click on Close Gadget.
- Windows Vista will then remove that gadget from the Windows Sidebar.
Note: When you remove a gadget from the Windows Sidebar or Desktop, you are essentially just closing it and not deleting it from your system. You can add that gadget back later if you like.
