Telnet - Definition
Telnet is an abbreviation for Telecommunication Network. It is a program commonly used to remotely control web servers. The Telnet program runs on your computer and connects your computer to a server on the Internet. You can enter commands through Telnet to be executed as if you were entering them directly on the server console. Telnet requires a valid user name and password.
