TIFF - Definition
TIFF is an abbreviation for Tagged Information File Format. It is a common format for saving bit mapped graphic images. Saving files to this format results in fairly large, uncompressed graphic files with a .tif extension. TIFF files are platform independent that can be read on a PC or a Macintosh.
