UDP - Definition
UDP is an abbreviation for User Datagram Protocol. It is a transport-level TCP/IP protocol that breaks messages into packets for delivery by the IP protocol. Unlike TCP, UDP is a connectionless, unreliable protocol, meaning that it does not establish a path between sender and receiver before transmitting and does not verify that packets arrive correctly.
