USB - Definition
USB is an abbreviation for Universal Serial Bus. It is a serial bus standard to interface devices that is typically located on the back of the computer near the expansion slots. USB ports provide an easy way to connect peripherals such as mice and keyboards, printers, scanners, flash drives, cameras and joysticks etc. A single USB port, connected to a USB hub, can be used to connect up to 127 peripheral devices. USB 2.0, a faster variant, provides transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps.
