User Profile - Definition
A User Profile is information stored within in the Windows Registry that contains a user’s desktop settings and personal setup preferences to be retained from session to session. In Windows XP, user profiles are stored within the “Documents and Settings“ folder on the system drive, normally but not necessarily the C: drive. Each subfolder of “C:\Documents and Settings“ stores one profile.
