Vector Graphics - Definition
Vector Graphics, unlike other image formats, are not made up of a grid of pixels. They are actually a resolution-independent, scalable format composed of individual objects made up of mathematical calculations. Thus, they can be scaled to a larger size and not lose any image quality making them an ideal format for designing small logos on business cards all the way up to poster billboard ads.
